You Are What You Drink

The human body consists of between 55 and 78 percent of water, depending on body size. Lean people have a higher percentage of water because muscles hold more water than fat. To function properly the body needs between one and seven liters of water per day to avoid dehydration. How much you need any given day depends on your level of activity, temperature, humidity etc.

Scientists have not been able to determine exactly how much water the human body needs each day. So the advice you get will vary depending on where you look for information. Most advice I've heard say you need between one and two liters per day. Water is crucial to every system in your body. Lack of water can lead to dehydration; you don't have enough water in your system to carry on normal functions. Even mild dehydration will affect your body in a negative way. You can feel tired, dizzy, get headaches, have a dry mouth and experience little or no urination, amongst other symptoms.

The liquid your body needs is ingested trough food and beverages. About 20 percent of your requirement is covered by the food that you eat. The reminding 80 percent comes from drinking beverages, for instance milk, coffee and tea, fruit juices, sodas - and plain water.

The Japanese author Masaru Emoto has made several experiments where he exposed water droplets to human speech or thoughts before they were frozen. Images of the resulting water crystals turned out beautiful or ugly depending upon weather the words or thoughts were positive or negative. So it is very important that you drink high quality water products from natural water sources.

Pure, natural and unpolluted water has naturally structured water molecules. This water is what your body needs! The water you get from commercial water producers or municipal services which has been treated or exposed to various pollutants along its way has molecules that deviate from its live-giving original form.

There are several ways to reenergize the water to give it back its life supporting crystalline structure before drinking it. The water molecules then reclaim their energetic, hydrating, and life-giving qualities. You can choose one of the more expensive systems like the Kangen water system, or you can try Emotos approach and stick a note with some loving words on your water bottle. Or you can choose from a number of various systems available on the market.

I've chosen a water carafe which is designed by Thomas Chochola (TC energy design). Mr. Chochola is a musician, and his research in the area of musical form composition has helped him develop a completely new approach to design - he creates form from sound.

These water carafes are music pieces converted into spatial dimensions. They are designed according to biological forms, the golden ratio, geometrical constructions and symbols. The same principles were used by the old masters crating legendary cathedrals and pyramids. Even nature itself, included the human body, is created according to the same principles.

Since water is of such great important to the proper functioning of the human body, it might be a good idea to give some extra thought as to the quality of the water you drink, because - you really are exactly what you drink!
